Meander down iconic Digbeth Street and wander into Davenford B&B. You’ll find us in a traditional 17th century building in the centre of Stow on the Wold. When you walk through our door you’ll be greeted by the smells of freshly baked croissants and cakes and someone from our friendly team will help you check in. Our B&B is above our tearoom and with 4 ensuite rooms makes for a peaceful stay in a popular town. You only need to step out of our front door to find gift shops, restaurants and historic buildings aplenty. Anytime is cake time at Davenford - we boast a roaring log fire in the winter and a beautiful garden in the summer.
Exploring the local area
Stow is perfectly located as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. While many come with a car, the surrounding villages are accessible via bus, taxi and for the more adventurous by foot! We are connected via bus to Bourton on the Water , Cheltenham as well as Moreton in Marsh, where there is a train service into London. Stow is renowned for antique shops, its beautiful church and a busy market square, which still operates a weekly market. Stow is a particularly popular base for walkers as we are the perfect place to stopover from Bourton on the Water or Moreton in Marsh.

Davenford is a tearoom which prides itself on yuummy breakfasts, delicious cakes and light meals, many of which are homemade or locally sourced. We offer the World Famous Cream Tea -served all day- as we believe that anytime is a perfect time to enjoy a light fluffy scone , topped with strawberry jam, clotted cream with a pot of tea! Why not try our traditional XXL sausage rolls or a slice of our triple layer carrot cake, we are confident that they won't disappoint! We also offer gluten free and vegan options. Our afternoon teas - a delicious selection of cakes, scones and sandwiches, are served on a tiered stand and are the perfect way to enjoy a classically English afternoon by the fire or in our summer garden. All our B&B guests who book their stays directly with us are offered a complimentary cream tea or slice of cake and a hot drink.
